Switchfoot is an American rock band from San Diego, California. The band members are Jon Foreman, Tim Foreman, Chad Butler, Jerome Fontamillas and Drew Shirley. After his early successes in Christian rock music, Switchfoot rose to public recognition for the inclusion of four of his songs in the 2002 film A Walk to Remember. This recognition led to a first public appearance. Their big company, The Beautiful Letdown, came out in 2003 and featured the hits "Meant to Live" and "Dare You to Move". The album has sold over 2.6 million copies. Since then, they have gained prominence for their energetic gigs, and their seventh studio album Hello Hurricane received the 2011 Grammy Award for Best Rock or Rap Music Album.
